Korra FInale thoughts/spoilers

Under the cut for spoilery stuff

Pros:
+Amon and Tarrlok. I really wish they got a little more development, but I liked the backstory they did have. Their relationship seemed a little out of the blue and I wish it had been prefaced more throughout the series, but what they did show was compelling and interesting.
+Asami vs. Hiroshi mecha slugfest. Hell yeah motherfucker.
+IROH FLIES WITH FIREBENDING WOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHhhhh Okay I never finished the original ATLA so I dunno if they ever showed this in that series but I thought it was REALLY SUPER COOL.
+Korra loses her bending. Shit was heavy.
+Meelo is consistently the only character who never fails to disappoint

Cons:
-SHIPPER BULLSHIT OMG. It’s not even because I like Borra or Masami or fucking PabuxMako but this shit was hamfisted to the nth degree.  None of the supporting characters were developed enough to lead anywhere near a plausible or compelling relationship.
-Mako and Bolin retain their positions as Characters of Most Wasted Potential, especially with the similarities between them and the Bloodbending brothers. Maybe in season 2?
-Shit dialogue was shit.
-Korra looks like a shit airbender
-And she gets her bending back.
-Fuck that easy way out bullshit.
-What is even the point of season 2 now
-As cool as he was, Iroh was ultimately pretty damn pointless
-Korra gets her bending back.
-By way of magical anime tear of destiny
-UGH KORRA GETS HER BENDING BACK THIS BASICALLY JUST OVERTURNS THE ENTIRE FUCKING SEASON

BONUS

Oh yeah so let me share with you the dream I had last night about Korra. In my dream, the finale ended with Korra losing her bending and for season 2 she ended up joining up with the cast of Motor City to find a way to get her bending back.

Yeah I don’t even know but it would’ve been cooler than the actual finale.
